Introducing the SMZ8 8 Source, 8 Zone Controller Amplifier with Built-in Streamer! Russound is proud to unveil the latest addition to our family of controllers: the SMZ8. This state of-the-art streaming controller represents the culmination of our extensive research and development efforts, integrating our expertise in cutting-edge amplification and audio technologies.
Main Features
- Built-in Audio Streamer; The SMZ8 includes the same hi-res audio streamer that is used in the popular Russound MBX-PRE and MBX-AMP products; Add additional MBX-PRE streaming pre-amplifiers (up to 7 per SMZ8) as needed; Russound recommends having a separate streamer for everyone in the home so that everyone can listen to their favorite music anytime and anywhere in the home
- Easy, Low Latency Synchronized Audio; By selecting the same source from any room, you can quickly and easily synchronize audio across multiple zones (up to 48) with low latency to allow the audio to match the video without lip synch issues
- HDMI ARC Input; Connect a TV to this input and have the ability to share this source around the house for synchronized audio without any lip synch issues
- Advanced DSP; 7 Band Graphical EQ with built-in presets for Russound Speakers
- Easily accessible configuration options via the Russound app and via Russound Web Config using a computer, tablet, or smartphone
- Twelve channels of advanced, cool running digital amplification rated at 50W per channel
- Digital Audio Inputs (2 coax, 3 optical)
- Eight (8) Sources delivered to up to 8-zones for sharing music throughout the home
- Scalable up to 48-zones
- Built-in Bluetooth extension input to connect an optional BTC-2X receiver; The BTC-2X allows for easy-to-use Bluetooth anywhere around the home via a CAT5 cable connection
