The compartment allows for secure storage of connectivity devices, microphone, and even AXIS I/O Indication LED, This compact mount is helpful to position the camera exactly where you need it, such as for installations above shop fronts with AXIS retail analytics, such as people counting and face recognition.

For instance, it can be installed at entrances on walls pointing downwards for optimized people-counting or pointing sideways for enhanced facial recognition analytics. It can be mounted on junction boxes using optional accessory AXIS TP3701 J-Box & Pole Adapter. Plus, when challenged with wall or ceiling surfaces that are not mounting-friendly, it's possible to mount on hard ceilings and counter tops. This makes AXIS TP3101 ideal for surveillance at border controls and cash check-out counters. Furthermore, network, audio or I/O cables can be inserted from any direction making installation quick and easy.
