LC-224 is a fully digital PIR detector. It was designed to deliver unprecedented detection accuracy compared to traditional detectors with analog PIR and digital processing. Highest quality and detection efficiency of LC-224 is achieved thanks to lenses designed using LODIFF technology and made from POLY IR materials. In order to simplify installation and shorten its time, the LC-224 features built-in EOL resistors with values required by PowerSeries Neo and PRO control panels. Installer may however choose not to use them and utilize own resistors for compatibility with any other hardwired control panel. The overall security of the installed system is further increased with double tamper protection (case opening and tearing from the wall). LC-224 is a dual technology detector. It consists of a PIR sensor and a microwave sensor, working in parallel, to reduce number of false alarms, especially in harsh environment. Both sensors need to detect movement in order for alarm to be triggered. For higher flexibility or special requirements, the detector can trigger an alarm only upon detection from single source (PIR or Microwave). It also has an automatic mode where 5 detections by Microwave sensor in 60 seconds will trigger an alarm regardless of PIR sensor state. The detector incorporates a Form C relay, which switches from Normally Closed to Normally Open positions.
