The AC-AXION-8 is an 8x8 high bandwidth audio/video matrix switcher designed for multizone setups requiring audio downmixing. It supports downmixing bitstream audio beyond 7.1 channels, including Dolby Atmos and DTS-X, into 2-channel audio for zones not equipped for full Dolby Atmos, while maintaining unimpeded audio on HDBaseT and HDMI outputs. The matrix supports full HDMI 2.0 a/b specifications with HDR formats including HDR10, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, and HLG, handling up to 4K 60Hz with 12-bit Deep Color. Control is managed via a web GUI, front panel LED screen, and multiple control options including IR, RS232, and LAN, complemented by driver support for major control systems. Additional features include 18 Gbps bandwidth, advanced EDID management, digital Toslink and balanced analog outputs, audio delay, volume control, and compliance with CE, RoHS, and Prop65 standards.
