The Global Cache GC7/NE/6SL is a freestanding modular chassis designed for serial connectivity and Ethernet power. It features a 7-slot design scaled with six Serial RS232 ports and supports wired Ethernet/Power (NE configuration). Notable for its individual IP addresses and web pages for each module, it ensures backward compatibility with existing Global Caché hardware and integrates open source Raspberry Pi capabilities. This scalable solution supports Serial, IR, Relay, Sensor, and HDMI switching and offers cloud connectivity for true IoT functionality via an open API and open systems approach.
