(15m x 15m) volumetric detection pattern (H 90° x V 60°), this dual technology sensor integrates Protech's proprietary Stereo Doppler microwave with a dual element passive infrared — And Gated so both technologies must activate simultaneously to generate an alarm. The field-adjustable three-position direction control switch enables Approach Only, Recede Only, or Both detection modes, making it ideal for monitoring one-way pedestrian traffic at entry points, perimeter gates, and restricted access corridors. The MIL-spec enhanced detection parameters provide superior capability against slow-moving, fast-moving, and crawling intruders — approved by the USAF for Protection Level 1 Nuclear & Below security applications. Housed in a rugged all-metal enclosure with weather shroud, the SDI-76XL-MIL-DIR operates across 10.5 to 28 Vdc with a wide operating temperature range of -40°F to +158°F (-40°C to +70°C) and delivers false-alarm-free performance.
