DSC is touting the Impassa as the newest and best way to protect your home. The Impassa is a 2-way totally wireless system, excepting the power supply which needs wire to plug into an outlet. The Impassa closely resembles DSC’s older 9047 model but has the newer 2-way capability of their top-selling Alexor model.

Because the Impassa is a 2-way, distributed system; you can place the main panel of the Impassa in an out of the way place and then use DSC WT5500 wireless keypads to place by your entryways. That way if an intruder breaks into your home and smashes the WT5500 keypad and thinks he’s disabled your system; that will definitely not be the case. You can also use DSC wireless indoor and outdoor sirens to try and camouflage the main panels piezo sounder so that the panel is not as easily located.

The Impassa has a lot of useful features including it’s ease-of-install device enrollment and template programming which will allow you, by entering a 4-digit code, setup basic functions in the blink of an eye. These codes exist for zone types, reporting formats, communication call directions, and DLS setup.
