Install attractive UL Listed UHT and UKT ceiling loudspeaker/baffle/ transformer packages for dependable voice and alarm transmission in emergency audio evacuation systems. Cone loudspeaker assemblies deliver superior intelligibility for application in multi-occupancy and expanded space areas including high-rise residences, public buildings, health care and educational facilities, offices, banks, shopping areas, motels/hotels, distribution centers, and transportation terminals. Applied properly, single and dual voice coil models meet life safety code requirements per N.F.P.A. Standard 72 for supervised loudspeakers in fire-protective signaling and communication systems.
General Description
Atlas Sound's UHT and UKT Series are 8" diameter single and dual voice coil loudspeakers equipped with dual (whizzer) cone and 10 oz. ceramic magnet to deliver extended frequency response with high intelligibility and minimal distortion. Cost-effective units are complete with fireretardant moisture-resistant cones, factory-mounted transformer, 8" color-coded leads, and a wide selection of architecturally pleasing baffles. UHT Series loudspeakers have a 1" dia. voice coil, choice of 70.7 or 25V transformer, and DC blocking capacitor for line supervision applications. UKT Series loudspeakers are equiped with dual 1" diameter voice coils, two transformers (specify 70.7V or 25V), and a DC blocking capacitor. To comply with UL requirements, loudspeaker packages must be used with UL-approved enclosures (refer to back page for baffle/ enclosure information and to SL6-1424 "Enclosures for UL Listed Loudspeakers").
