Product Overview

PSX Single Voltage Power System is a high efficiency, off-line switch mode power supply battery charger designed as a general purpose power supply to provide uninterrupted power for locks, auxiliary equipment, and iSTAR intelligent controllers. Capable of providing two power outputs and featuring user selectability for 12 or 24V DC, the unit is configured in a painted steel, locking enclosure with tamper switch and integral battery space.

The first power output of the PSX Single Voltage Power System provides constant power and is typically used to power the iSTAR or apC door controller. Choose between a 75W and a 150W model depending on your power needs. The second output offers optional fire alarm interface (FAI) control for powering locks or other devices.

PSX Single Voltage Power System provides two fault relay outputs for connection to inputs on the iSTAR controller. One relay output is connected to the power fail input and indicates loss of AC power to the PSX Single Voltage Power System. The second relay output is connected to the low battery or fault input and indicates low battery or a problem within the power supply.

LED indicators on the unit indicate current status and the unit will accept an optional remote management device providing remote monitoring, remote battery testing, along with many other capabilities.

The available options include an eight output power distribution module and a network monitoring module.

PSX Auxiliary Distribution Module provides eight Class 2, power-limited outputs for auxiliary power. Each output is selectable for either a continuous output voltage or a switched output voltage controlled by the fire alarm input on the PSX power supply.

PSX Network Communication Module option provides the PSX Single Voltage Power System with the ability to offer remote monitoring and control over LAN/WAN. Power supply, battery condition, fault status, and temperature may be monitored and configured for remote notification via email or SNMP. Remote battery testing may be implemented manually or on a scheduled basis.
