The fiber optic cleave tool is intended for use in the cleaving of bare fiber optic cable to 7mm for the termination of OptiCam connectors. The rotary blade, good for up to 60,000 cleaves, provides a clean, precision cleave while a waste receptacle collects fiber offcuts for safe disposal. The addition of batteries (not included) enables a cleave counter on the front of the tool. The guide plank can be swapped out for one that allows for a 10mm cleave for single-fiber fusion splice connectors.
