The Speco AP2PMD is a versatile 2-in-1 wireless bridge and PoE switch designed specifically for mid-range outdoor security camera installations. Operating on the 5.8 GHz frequency band, this access point delivers wireless speeds up to 300Mbps while maintaining reliable connections up to 9,843 feet (3,000 meters). The device features five 10/100Mbps RJ45 ports with dual PoE output capability, making it an ideal solution for powering and connecting multiple IP cameras in remote locations. Engineered for outdoor deployment, the AP2PMD features an IP55-rated enclosure providing dustproof and waterproof protection. The unit operates reliably in temperatures from -22°F to 140°F with humidity tolerance up to 95% (non-condensing). With flexible power input options supporting DC 12-52V or PoE 48-56V, the device can deliver up to 25W per port (requires 60W power supply), accommodating power-hungry PTZ cameras and high-performance IP cameras. The unit also supports RS-485 signal control for PTZ camera operation. Supporting IEEE 802.11a/n wireless protocols and IEEE802.3af/at PoE standards, the AP2PMD ensures compatibility with a wide range of security cameras and network devices. Security features include WEP 64/128-bit encryption, WPA, WPA2, and 802.1x authentication protocols. Management capabilities include WEP Management, SNMP MIB, Telnet, and Serial interfaces.
